Shanghai (CNS) -- The 1997 American epic disaster film Titanic retold the tragic sinking of the luxury liner in 1912 to the Chinese public fifteen years ago.

For its one-hundred-year anniversary, the National Maritime Museum in Shanghai has mounted an exhibition on the Titanic, scheduled to run from April 10 to May 13.

A model of the Titanic in the ratio of 1:100 is showcasing, along with a five part photo display that tells the whole story of the ship. The five parts are Ocean Empire, Unsinkable Ship, Dream Cruise, Loss in the Ocean and Century Reincarnation.

There appears to be something for everyone. A number of children touring the site participated in a shipwreck escape exercise organized by the museum, and local Shanghainese Luo Xiuchang, 73, said he was impressed by the shipbuilding technology.
