Singapore Prime Minister Li Xianlong Visited Our Museum
Since September 6, Singapore Prime Minister Li Xianlong has visited Chongqing, Shanghai, Changsha, Wuhan and Suzhou to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sino-Singapore diplomatic relationship. On the morning of September 9, Li Xianlong, his wife and over 40 accompanying officials, accompanied by Guo Kailang, the vice governor of Hunan Provincial Government, visited our museum.
Liu Xiaobao, the deputy director of our museum, on the behalf of Chen Jianming, the director, expressed heartfelt welcome to their coming. During the over-one-hour tour guided by Liu Xiaobao himself, Li Xianlong and his party visited the permanent exhibition of our museum, carefully listening to Liu’s interpretation and showing great interest to exhibits, especially to the ancient musical instruments, silk fabrics and “Garrison Map” which reflect the military, technological and educational levels of Han Dynasty. When the group was guided to the relief based on “Drawing of Daoyin”, the physical exercise chart, Li Xianlong marveled at the clay figurines of varied postures, exclaiming “very good!”
After the visit, Prime Minster Li thanked the hospitality of our museum, autographed and posed for pictures.
