The 1st Annual Meeting of RMCCSM held in Xi’an

From Mar. 25 to 26, “Xi’an Forum & 2008 Annual Meeting of RMCCSM” (Regional Museum Committee of Chinese Society of Museums) held in Xi’an, Shanxi Province. Participants from more than 30 regional museums and relative museum unions attended the meeting, which was undertook by Shanxi History Museum. Our museum participated in the preparing and organizing works as the secretariat of Committee, and our director, Chen Jianming, attended this meeting as secretary and one of the standing committee members of assistant director in RMCCSM.

　The most important achievement of meeting was discuss and overpass “cooperation and development proclaim of Regional Museums of China”, to confirm the character of regional museums and their effect in society and among their development, put forward the necessary and relative principle in establishing communication network of information and exhibition and evaluation system, clear about the status and function of RMCCSM.
