The Delegation of our Museum visited Australia

Invited by Powerhouse Museum of Australia, the delegation of 5 people from Hunan Provincial Museum which was led by Director Chen Jianming visited Australia and New Zealand for a 20-day inspection from April. 5 to 25, 2008, and negotiated on relative exhibition cooperation.

The members of delegation visited more than ten museums and galleries included Powerhouse Museum of Australia and National museum of Australia, communicated with the relative museum’s leaders, managers and professionals, had a target-oriented inspection on daily operation and management for museum, the method of display and exhibition, conservation and repair of collections, education and service, all of delegation members learned many new ideas and precious management experience. 

Besides, the members of delegation negotiated and recommended exhibitions with the colleagues of Australian museums and galleries. Many museums has showed strong interesting on our extract cultural relics unearthed from Mawangdui Han Tombs, and reached tentative agreement on exhibition.
