Former President of Tanzania Visits our Museum

On Sept. 14th, former President of Tanzania, Benjamin William Mkapa accompanied with his wife visit our museum. They visit “the Exhibition of Mawangdui Han Tombs” together with our deputy curator, Mr. Li Jianmao.

Couples of Mkapa listen carefully to our interpreter’s English explanation,showing deeply interests for extracted cultural relics unearthed from Mawangdui Han Tombs. After seeing and knowing the relevant cultural relics from Mawangdui Han Tombs, including lacquer ware, silk, painting and books  copied on silk and so on, Mr. Mkapa gives a highly appraise to our exhibitions of Mawangdui Han Tombs.
