On the evening of April 15th, the Award Ceremony of the First Hunan Cultural Creative Design Competition was held in Changsha Concert Hall. Several government officials and experts attended the ceremony.
The competition was sponsored by Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Hunan Daily Newspaper Group and was organized by Huasheng Online Co., Ltd. and the School of Art and Design of Hunan University.
With the theme of “Culture and Creativity Build Life”, the First Hunan Cultural Creative Design Competition aims to find the most creative products representing Hunan’s distinctive culture as well as the most promising teams with commercial potential, so as to inspire Hunan’s enterprises of cultural industry to expand new frontiers, develop new markets and foster new growth points.
Since its beginning on September 6th, 2016, competitors from Hongkong, Taiwan, and other 26 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions of China, as well as overseas countries including the United States, Britain, France and Italy, have participated in this competition. The organizing committee has finally received 4023 entries.
After several rounds of panel review, 20 entries were shortlisted to advance into the Final Stage. The Mawangdui Healthy Scented Soap Series developed by the Cultural and Creative Research Center of the Hunan Provincial Museum was among the top 20 entries. Owing to its remarkable performance, Hunan Provincial Museum wins the Outstanding Organization Award.

The handover ceremony of agreement text on Hunan Cultural Creative Strategic Cooperation was also staged during the Award Ceremony. Sponsors exchanged the signed agreements with the Hunan Provincial Museum, the Hunan Xiangjiang River New District Development Group Co.,Ltd., Zhubajie.Com, Wensli Group, Hunan Famous Products Industry Development Co., Ltd., Changsha Jigsaw Management Co., Ltd., and the Changsha Star Culture Media Co., Ltd. On behalf of the Hunan Provincial Museum, Duan Xiaoming exchanged the signed agreements with the sponsors. The two parties will integrate resources and chart the course to enhance the development of Hunan’s cultural and creative industries.
